As Jukebox the Ghost’s third studio album, Safe Travels shows a new level of maturity in a musical and lyrical sense. The peppy piano pop songs are balanced with more poignant instrumentation in other tracks that speak to the band’s desire to travel into new sonic territory. Ben uses his classical background in writing a number of string arrangements, with the band continuing to explore their own pop-meets-jazz-meets-prog rock backgrounds. The record is co-produced by Dan Romer, Ingrid Michaelson, and Jenny Owens.
Since its initial release, the album has sold over 40,000 copies worldwide. It contains band classics "Somebody," "Don't Let Me Fall Behind," "Adulthood," and "The Spiritual."
