The Butchies are three cool women from Durham, NC who make fine power pop. The trio nods to the old school punk rock of The Ramones, Blondie, Patti Smith, 999, etc...while still sounding very right here and now. Having already released three full length records, "Are We Not Femme" (1998), "Population 1975" (1999) and "3" (2001), the band, Kaia Wilson (ex-Team Dreasch), Melissa York and Alison Martlew, are ready to take you over. And they will do so in the form of record number four - an impressive punk/pop masterwork entitled "Make Yr Life". The record boasts ten totally inspired tracks kicking off with a bona-fide single, "Send Me You," featuring a chorus that you won't soon forget.
