Caitlin Cary may be best known currently as Ryan Adams' partner in one of alternative country's finest bands, Whiskeytown, but with this full-length debut release, Cary steps out on her own with outstanding results. Along with producer Chris Stamey (Alejandro Escovedo, dB's and many others) and ex-Whiskeytown mate Mike Daly, Cary has created a disc that showcases her depth as a writer and vocalist which goes beyond the material that many have come to know her for. The basis of the album is Americana, but many of the songs extend into more pop oriented territory as well.
