The fourth single from his critically acclaimed album Sonik Kicks. "Dragonfly" is a bit of windswept psychedelia inspired by his daughter Jessie.
As Weller describes it, "That came about from my youngest daughter Jessie who had this poem she wrote for school. I just took the first line of each verse and built on them. She does get credited, yes. How did the music come about? We got Graham Coxen on guitar down and Marco Nelson on bass."
He adds, "It was a good day actually. There's that middle bit which is like a gang of mad druids round a campfire, a sequence where we got everyone to play different keyboards. Graham was playing the Hammond and he's never played one before. But it worked out OK. Graham was on good form and that's one of my favorites on the album."
